W221 Mercedes LED Module
This project is part of the larger ambient illumination upgrade system for S-Class Mercedes (W221) vehicles. The OEM LEDs are much smaller than the 5050 LEDs that these modules accommodate. Designing a case to fit the confined mounting space and larger LED module was challenging. The LED module is installed in the case and then the case glued shut. The LED module is positioned optimally to make connection with the light pipe. Installation is very simple, as the module snaps in position on the light pipe, just like the OEM LEDs.
This module, along with the rest of the ambient illumination system for the W221 will be available in the shop.
