If your W215 arm rest is slowly disassembling itself, then you may need some new screw/lock mounts to hold things in place. An extremely poor design from the factory only gets worse with age, and the arm rests on W215 CLs are a perfect example. Ours decided to crumble like it was made of a material slightly less resistant than cheese.
Installation
Installation is simple, involving nothing more than gluing the new pieces in place. We suggest cleaning up the area with a rotary tool, making sure the mounting surface is flush, and then trimming the 3D printed pieces to your needs. They’re specifically designed to be larger than just the screw mount, to account for different breakages in the original part. Once mounted, go nuts with your favorite epoxy or superglue in the general area until you are satisfied. We suggest blanketing the entire front of the arm rest, to make sure.
Ordering
These will set you back $7 a piece and they can be printed in your choice of resin, or you can or go with our “proprietary” ABS/High temp mix that offers a great balance between flexibility and high temperature resistance. They will come pre-threated to make installation easier. However, keep in mind that they will be slightly less resistant than ABS parts.
